General Questions about Breathwork
What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a conscious breathing practice that can regulate your nervous system, release emotional blockages, and lead to greater clarity. Through targeted breathing techniques, altered states of consciousness can be achieved, which can create space for inner transformation.
How long does a session last?
An individual session lasts 90 โ 120 minutes including pre- and post-discussion. The actual breathing practice takes about 45 โ 75 minutes, before and after which we take time for preparation and integration.
Do I need prior experience?
No, absolutely not! Whether you're a beginner or already experienced, I will guide you safely through the entire process and adapt the session to your process.
Who is breathwork suitable for?
Breathwork is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their well-being โ whether dealing with stress, anxiety, emotional blockages, or the desire for more clarity. For acute mental health conditions or certain physical limitations, this type of breathwork may be contraindicated. In the free preliminary consultation, we will thoroughly discuss your health situation and clarify all questions.
Process & Preparation
What do I need for an online session?
You need a stable internet connection, a quiet room, comfortable clothing, and ideally a yoga mat with a blanket to lie on. Headphones are recommended for better sound quality during the music accompaniment.
How does a typical session work?
A breathwork session is divided into three phases:
Phase 1 โ Preparation
We begin with a brief preparation phase where current feelings, personal experiences, uncertainties or questions can be shared and answered. Then we set an intention together for the subsequent breathing practice.
Phase 2 โ Active Breathwork
In this phase, we apply a circular breathing technique โ Conscious Connected Breathwork. The breathing practice is supported by carefully selected music and, where appropriate, bodywork. I am present throughout the entire breathing phase, guiding your process and supporting you in moving safely through whatever arises.
Phase 3 โ Integration
The final phase focuses on integration. It serves for mutual sharing of everything that wishes to be shared.
Can I experience breathwork in a group?
The group creates a special resonance space. Many personal themes have arisen in togetherness โ and can find new, corrective experiences there as well. Breathing together can initiate processes that are often not possible in the same way in individual work.
What happens during the breathing practice?
Through conscious, deepened breathing, your physiological state changes. Many experience relaxation, emotional releases such as laughing, crying, or the emergence of feelings, tingling, warmth or cold. Light muscle tension or cramps, such as in the hands or jaw, can also occur. All of this is normal and part of the process. I accompany you throughout and ensure a safe space.
